"A new strategy is being developed. I hope that as a result of this, football in Azerbaijan will develop and reach the required level." Sport24.az reports that this was said by Chingiz Huseynzade, Vice-President of the National Olympic Committee of Azerbaijan (NOC), at the AFFA Reporting Conference.
The NOC official said that after gaining independence, we proved to the whole world that we can achieve high results:
"The main thing is to have the desire. I believe that the new leadership of AFFA will achieve this. A year has passed quickly. This year, our national teams performed poorly. This does not mean that we will not have results in team sports. The Azerbaijani 3x3 basketball team took 7th place at the Paris Olympics. I hope that our national football team will also participate in the next Olympics."
