Idman.biz reports that these words were said by former Azerbaijani national team footballer Ceyhun Sultanov to Sport24.az.
The 45-year-old former midfielder shared his views on the friendly match that the national team will play against Latvia today:
"It is interesting for us what state our players and the team will be in. I think that head coach Fernando Santos will make moves to build the team of the future. It's a friendly match. He will check the players. But the result also matters. We know our national team and we know what qualities the players have. This opponent is at the same level as us. We want to see at least a good game. In this case, the results will come. I wish our team success!".
It should be noted that the Latvia-Azerbaijan match, which will be held today at the "Skonto" stadium in Riga, will start at 17:00 Baku time.
