Brazilian footballer Yuri Matias, who plays for "Neftchi", is waiting for an offer from the club to extend his contract.
According to "Report", the 29-year-old defender said this in an interview with "Prosport.ro".
He said that the situation in "Neftchi" is not good yet:
"Unfortunately, the team is not where we want it to be. "Neftchi" is the most beloved club in Azerbaijan. If there are no results, it is normal for people to be dissatisfied. We are trying to return the team to its former state. The head coach who brought "Neftchi" its last national championship has arrived."
The Brazilian player said he was satisfied because he started all matches in the starting "11":
"I only didn't appear on the field when I was injured. I currently have a contract until June and I am waiting for an offer to extend it."
It should be noted that Yuri Matias has been playing for "Neftchi" since 2023.
