Bayer CEO Fernando Carro has stated that current coach Xabi Alonso has a gentleman's agreement with the club's management. According to Sport24.az, Bayer may allow the Spanish coach to go to Real Madrid if an offer comes.
Insider Fabrizio Romano shared Carro's words on social media:
"We have a gentleman's agreement with Alonso regarding his departure. If a team that Xabi played for comes, we will sit at the negotiating table and we will not prevent him from leaving."
It should be reminded that Alonso led Bayer to the Bundesliga championship last season. The team is currently second in the Bundesliga.
