"Barcelona" will offer 37-year-old striker Robert Lewandowski a one-year contract extension with a significant reduction in salary. Sport24.az, citing Sport.es, reports that the key moment determining the Polish striker's future at the Catalan club will be his upcoming meeting with head coach Hans-Dieter Flick.
According to the source, the management will wait for Lewandowski's response at the end of April or the beginning of May. It is emphasized that the striker's salary under the new contract will be reduced by approximately 50 percent. Lewandowski feels comfortable at "Barcelona" and is ready to stay here in a more secondary role.
It should be noted that the striker has appeared in 37 matches in all competitions this season, scoring 16 goals and providing 3 assists. His current contract with the club runs until the summer of 2026. According to Transfermarkt, the player's market value is 8 million euros.
