I wanted to try myself in another Russian club.
This was stated by Azerbaijani national team footballer Alina Dorofeyeva in her statement to "Report" while talking about her move to Russian club Rubin.
She said that she is going through the adaptation process in her new team:
"I am still adapting to my new team. I was well received here. We have a lot of work to do. I left Yenisey after my contract expired. I wanted to try myself in another Russian club."
The 26-year-old national team member said that a new head coach will come to the team:
"Strong players and a new head coach will come to Rubin. We hope to rise as high as possible in the standings. The level of the Russian championship increases every year."
It should be noted that Rubin finished the 2024 season in the Russian Super League with 8 points in the last - 13th place in the tournament table.
