I hope that by defeating Lithuania in the last match, we will qualify for the next stage as group leaders.
This was stated by Azerbaijani national team footballer Mana Mollayeva in an interview with "Report".
The 27-year-old player shared her thoughts on the UEFA Nations League group stage match against Montenegro (1:1):
"One of the main factors affecting the result was that we played two games. We were more tired than the opponent and played both matches away. Montenegro, on the other hand, played one game during this period. And it was at home against us."
M. Mollayeva, who opened the scoring in the match, emphasized that they were disappointed to have lost the victory:
"Everything depends on the last round. I hope that by defeating Lithuania in the last match, we will qualify for the next stage as group leaders."
