Azerbaijani medal maker: "They did not approach the preparation of the Paris Olympics medals with responsibility"

The Paris Olympics is a big event, and there were many medals. They did not approach this work with responsibility.

This was stated to "Report" by Ilgar Niftaliyev, who makes medals for various sports competitions held in Azerbaijan.

He said that there is a problem with the plating of the awards presented at the Summer Olympic Games in France:

"Losing quality is mainly due to this. When preparing medals, a lot of attention should be paid to the front. We have prepared awards for wrestling, judo and other tournaments. Such a case has not been detected in international competitions in our country so far. Everyone just has to do their job well. I did some work at the I European Games held in Baku in 2015. There have never been any complaints about our medals. Because the approach of the Azerbaijani state is completely different. No one can approach this work carelessly like that."

Ilgar Niftaliyev said that Azerbaijanis are hospitable:

"We also love our country. When an international tournament is held in our country, we want it to be memorable in a good way. The quality of the athletes' awards must be high so that they do not complain about it later and throw the medal in a corner. They are proud of their achievements."

It should be noted that Azerbaijani athletes won 7 medals at the Paris Olympics. Judokas Hidayat Heydarov (73 kg) and Zelim Kotsoev (100 kg) climbed to the highest step of the podium. Along with Alfonso Domingues, taekwondo fighter Gashim Magomedov (58 kg) lost only in the final and won a silver medal. Greco-Roman wrestler Hasrat Jafarov (67 kg), and freestyle wrestlers Giorgi Meshvildishvili (125 kg) and Magomedkhan Magomedov (97 kg) won bronze medals.

Apart from H. Heydarov and M. Magomedov, the medals of the other five athletes have lost their quality.
