The squad of the Azerbaijani national judo team has been announced. Sport24.az reports that our team will be represented by 27 judokas in 12 weight categories at the Belgian Open tournament to be held in the city of Vise.
The coaching staff will give a chance in the competition to Leyla Aliyeva, Konul Aliyeva, Shafag Hamidova (all three 48 kg), Aydan Valiyeva, Khadija Gadashova, Fidan Gasimova (all three 52 kg), Acelya Toprak, Fidan Alizade, Ayten Verdiyeva (all three 57 kg), Nargiz Hajiyeva (63 kg), Gunel Hasanli, Sudaba Agayeva (both 70 kg), Nigar Suleymanova (+78 kg), Murad Muradli (60 kg), Elshan Asadov, Nazir Talibov (both 66 kg), Nariman Mirzayev, Gadir Huseynov, Ibrahim Aliyev, Aydin Rzayev, Rufat Shovlatov (all 73 kg), Maharram Imamverdiyev, Karim Allahverdiyev, Suleyman Shukurov (all three 81 kg), Nihad Shikhalizade (100 kg), Imran Yusifov and Jamal Feyziyev (both +100 kg).
It should be noted that more than 800 athletes from 24 countries will participate in the international tournament, which will be held on January 25-26.
