Salahli also expressed his views on the legionnaire limit, which has been the subject of discussion for several days: "Regardless of the legionnaire limit, if it benefits Azerbaijani football, I think the decisions made will be correct. It doesn't matter to me, even if there are 11 legionnaires, I will compete and try to play. Even if there are 17-18 legionnaires, I will compete. I advise young football players to work hard. If they work hard, they will see the benefits. Whether there is a legionnaire limit or not, they should work on themselves."
