Austrian national team goalkeeper Alexander Schlager has signed with Werder Bremen. According to Sport24.az, the German club has announced the transfer on its official website.
Transfermarkt reports that the 30-year-old goalkeeper has joined Werder Bremen as a free agent, with the contract set to expire in the summer of 2029.
Schlager has spent his entire career in the Austrian league, except for a brief stint with RB Leipzig's U-19 team.
Last season, Schlager played 47 games for Salzburg in all competitions and kept a clean sheet in 7 matches.
It's worth noting that the goalkeeper has played 30 games for the Austrian national team and was a part of the team in the European Championship 2026.
