Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta commented on the victory in the Premier League matchday 34 against Newcastle (1:0).
Idman.Biz reports with reference to Sky Sports that the specialist drew attention to the opponent's changes throughout the game and his team's performance in defense.
Arteta said that Newcastle's five substitutions felt like ten changes:
"They were constantly introducing new players into the game. We had to win. Although our advantage was not that great, we managed it. There were certain moments in the first and second halves. We showed discipline, will and knowledgeable play in defense."
The head coach also noted some shortcomings in the attack:
"If we want to gain complete dominance in the game, we need to handle the ball better. This also applies to finishing attacks. We often get into favorable positions, but our attack breaks down. The most important thing is to react correctly to such situations."
