"The performance of the teams in the first round did not seem high. There were some expectations from the clubs that were not justified." Arif Asadov said this in an interview with Sport24.az.
The experienced specialist shared his thoughts on the matches of the first round of the Misli Premier League:

It was expected that the ambitious "Turan Tovuz" would win easily over "Imishli". The fact that the teams' performance was not high in the first round was also evident here. Although with difficulty, the Tovuz team won and showed their ambition."
Asadov said that "Neftchi" lost important points in the first round, and also mentioned the problems of "Kapaz" and spoke about the character of "Araz-Nakhchivan":
There have been major changes in "Neftchi" this year, and the team's ambition is to win the championship and the cup. From this point of view, it is important to get 3 points in the first rounds. In recent years, "Neftchi's" matches with "Shamakhi" have been difficult. They faced difficulties again, and I think "Neftchi" lost two important points, but "Shamakhi" gained an important point by showing the game they wanted.

"Kapaz" still has problems, and instability is evident in terms of squad and game. The teams "Zira" and "Araz-Nakhchivan" are also ambitious this season.
