The match between "Baku Fire" and "Araz-Nakhchivan" on May 1 in the Azerbaijan Futsal Premier League could be decisive for "Araz-Nakhchivan" on the way to the championship.
This was stated to "Report" by the vice-president of the Nakhchivan representative, Mahmud Sadigov.
He assessed the championship chances of the team, which rose to the lead in the tournament table after a long break:
"As you know, we have been continuing on our way under the leadership of the new head coach since January. The results are obvious. Finally, we rose to the leadership. Everything is in our hands. We will have a game with "Baku Fire", one of our main rivals, on May 1. We are currently 2 points ahead of this rival in the tournament table. Therefore, the match may be decisive for our team. If we win, the difference in points with "Baku Fire" will increase to 5, which will be a big step in terms of finishing the season as champion. We are preparing for this meeting with all our strength. I hope that whatever is most successful for us will happen."
It should be noted that "Araz-Nakhchivan" leads the tournament table with 37 points after 15 rounds. "Baku Fire", which is in second place, has 35 points.
