The chairman of the AFFA Referees Committee, Frank De Bleeckere, shared his views on the controversial episode in the XX round of the Misli Premier League match between "Qarabağ" and "Turan Tovuz".
According to "Report", the 58-year-old specialist spoke about the goal scored by the Tovuz representative in the 89th minute of the match.
He said that the goal was scored within the rules:
"The "Turan Tovuz" player passes the ball in front of the goal from a corner kick. "Qarabağ" goalkeeper Shahrudin Mahammadaliyev comes out and clears it with his fist. The ball falls in front of "Turan Tovuz" player Kauan Martins, and he scores. After watching the images in the VAR, it appears that there was no foul (goalkeeper challenge/contact) that disturbed the goalkeeper's balance. The goal was scored within the rules, so it was counted".
It should be noted that "Turan Tovuz" defeated its opponent with a score of 2:1.
