AFFA President Rovshan Najaf believes that the abolition of the legionnaire limit will lead to an increase in the quality of local players.
According to "Report", the official of the organization said this at a press conference.
He said that they want the Azerbaijani national team to participate in the final stage of major tournaments:
"For us, taking 3rd, 4th or 5th place in the qualifying round of the European Championship is not a success. We want our team to play in the final stage. The average age of the team was also low in the last match."
R. Najaf shared his thoughts on the national team's head coach, Fernandu Santush:
"Regarding Mr. Santush, we can say that we want to see more encouraging results in a short time. We evaluate the coach only based on the result. We also want you to see his approach to the game. We want the media to come up with suggestions. We intend to create this environment."
