"AFFA supports holding the final match of the FIFA U-20 World Cup in Azerbaijan."
Idman.Biz reports that this was stated by AFFA Executive Vice-President Sarkhan Hajiyev in a statement to journalists.
The AFFA Executive Vice-President stated that discussions are being held with the Uzbek side on the issue:
"As AFFA, we support the organization of the final match in our country. Negotiations with Uzbek partners are ongoing in this direction."
It should be noted that the U-20 national team will continue its preparations in Gabala until April 26. The team will participate in the FIFA U-20 World Cup, which will be held in Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan in 2027.
