"Absheron" head coach Erhan Toker evaluated the first game against NTD in the play-in stage of the Azerbaijan Basketball League.
"Report" reports that the Turkish specialist said this in a statement to the club's press service.
He said he was pleased with the 88:74 victory:
"We defended well and fought well. Good defense helped us to be effective in attack as well. We played better than most games during the season. We lost concentration very little. All basketball players, especially the locals who came on the field, gave great support to the team. NTD is a team in good shape. But they had one drawback. They had to play with only one playmaker. This is also an unusual situation for them. That was our advantage."
E.Toker shared his thoughts on the second match between the parties:
"I hope that this result will have a positive impact on the next game. I always say that. Daily performance is more important here. If we can defend well and execute the team game like this time, we can win the next match as well."
It should be noted that the next match between the teams will be held on April 14. The winner of the pair will be the opponent of "Nakhchivan" in the 1/4 finals.
