Former Brazilian national team footballer Marcelo has ended his career. Sport24.az reports that this was announced by the former defender himself.
The 36-year-old South American made a social media post about ending his professional career. He is a graduate of the Fluminense club.
Marcelo, who moved to Real Madrid in 2007, won 25 titles with the Spanish giant. He won the Champions League 5 times, La Liga 6 times, and the Spanish Cup 2 times. The defender, who moved to Olympiacos in the summer of 2022, last played for his native Fluminense in 2023-24.
It should be noted that Marcelo scored 6 goals in 58 games for the Brazilian national team, where he played from 2006-18.
