The European Club Cup in chess will kick off on October 19 on the Greek island of Rhodes. Sport24.az reports that Azerbaijan will be represented at the prestigious competition by the "Vugar Hashimov" team.
It was reported that Rauf Mammadov, Aydin Suleymanli, Ahmad Ahmadzade, Read Samadov, Vugar Manafov, Khazar Babazade and Kazakhstani chess player Kazybek Nogerbek will play in the team. The captain of the "Vugar Hashimov" team is Sarkhan Hashimov.
Other Azerbaijani chess players will also compete in the European Cup. Shahriyar Mammadyarov, a member of the national team, will compete for the Turkish "Bayedak Pendik", Ulviyya Fataliyeva for the Romanian "SuperChess", and Govhar Beydullayeva for the Serbian club "Sirmium Sremska Mitrovica". Our young chess player Khagan Ahmad will defend the honor of the "Turkish Airlines" club.
It should be noted that the European Cup will end on October 25.
