The Azerbaijani men's chess team lost in the last round of the European Championship held in Batumi, Georgia.
According to "Report", the team consisting of Shahriyar Mammadyarov, Rauf Mammadov, Aydin Suleymanli, Mahammad Muradli and Eltaj Safarli lost to Serbia in the IX round - 1:3.
The final position of the Azerbaijani national team with 13 points in the standings will be determined after the other matches are completed.
The women's team lost to Poland in the last match - 1.5:2.5. It was clear in the previous round that the team would not be among the prize-winners.
