Members of the Azerbaijani team, who won a silver medal by finishing second in the European Team Chess Championship held in Batumi, Georgia, have returned home.
"Report" reports that the plane bringing the athletes landed at Heydar Aliyev International Airport.
Athletes were greeted at the airport by media representatives and sports enthusiasts.
It should be noted that the Azerbaijani team, which scored 13 points, finished the competition in second place and won a silver medal. Serbian chess players were satisfied with the bronze medal.
The Azerbaijani women's team lost to Poland in the last match - 1.5:2.5. Our female chess players, with 10 points in their account, finished the European Championship in 10th place.
