The Azerbaijan national team, consisting of male chess players, held its next match at the European Team Championship organized in Batumi, Georgia. Sport24.az reports that our team faced the Ukrainian team in the VIII round. Our team defeated its opponent with a score of 2.5:1.5, bringing its points to 13 and rising to the lead.
The only victory in the team was won by Shahriyar Mammadyarov. Rauf Mammadov, Aydin Suleymanli, Mahammad Muradli and Eltaj Safarli finished their matches in a draw.
If our team wins in the last round, it will become the European champion for the fourth time, regardless of the results of other matches.
