Idman.biz reports that another athlete from the Azerbaijani national team has advanced to the next stage on the third day of the competition.
In the 1/4 finals, Subhan Mammadov (50 kg) was supposed to face Samet Gümüş (Turkey), but the opponent did not show up for the fight. As a result, our boxer qualified for the semifinals. With this, he secured at least a bronze medal for himself. Mammadov will face Sanjar Taskenbay from Kazakhstan in the semifinals. The meeting will take place on July 5.
It should be noted that the fights of the 1/4 final stage are continuing in the World Cup, which is attended by about 300 boxers from 30 countries.
