About forty teenagers and young people are engaged in freestyle wrestling in the village of 2nd Shikhli

One of the directions of development of wrestling in Azerbaijan is the improvement of infrastructure in the sports halls of many villages in the country.

İdman.biz reports that the steps taken in this direction in recent years have become intensive.

The Azerbaijan Wrestling Federation (AGF), which provides sports halls of villages located in Gusar, Salyan, Goranboy regions with inventory, has also provided the sports hall of the village of 2nd Shikhli in Gazakh region with a wrestling carpet and other sports equipment.

Under the leadership of honored coach, USSR master of sports Mushfig Eyyubov, about 40 teenagers and young people learn the secrets of freestyle wrestling in this sports hall.

During the acquaintance with the wrestling hall, AGF Secretary General Nasimi Musayev, Deputy Head of Gazakh-Tovuz Regional Youth and Sports Department Elchin Jafarov, Director of Gazakh UGIM Rahim Namazov, Deputy Secretary General of AGF Orkhan Mammadov and honored coach Ramiz Taghiyev stated that they believe that this wrestling school will achieve high results in the near future against the background of the conditions created as a result of the attention and care of the federation leadership.

It should be noted that Gazakh region is one of our regions with rich traditions of freestyle wrestling. World and European champions and prize-winners have been trained in this region in various age groups.
