Serbian tennis player Novak Djokovic has made history at Wimbledon.
Sport.Biz reports that the seven-time Wimbledon champion won his 106th match, surpassing Roger Federer. The Swiss legend has eight titles and 105 wins at Wimbledon.
Djokovic defeated Russian Roman Safiullin in the 1/8 finals. The meeting ended with a 7:6 (8:6), 6:3, 3:6, 6:3 victory for the Serbian tennis player.
After this result, Novak Djokovic advanced to the quarterfinals. His next opponent will be the winner of the match between Felix Auger-Aliassime (Canada) and Alejandro Davidovich-Fokina (Spain).
Note that Wimbledon-2026 started on June 29 and will end on July 12. The current champion of the tournament is the world's number one, Yannik Sinner.
