The clubs that will represent Azerbaijan in the European Handball Cup tournament have been determined. According to Sport24.az, two men's and two women's teams will compete in the prestigious competition.
Among the male handball players, "Kur", the winner of the last Azerbaijan championship, and "Baku", the silver medalist, will participate in the continental tournament. Our representatives, who are exempt from the first stage of the European Cup tournament, will join the competition from the second round. In total, 55 teams from the continent will compete in this stage. After 9 clubs coming from the first stage, the participants will continue the fight from the 1/32 finals. The first matches of the second round will be held on October 11-12, and the return matches will be held a week later.
In the European Cup tournament of women's handball players, our country will be represented by the champion of Azerbaijan "Azeryol" and the 3rd place winner "Kur". All teams will start the competition from the second stage. 50 teams will compete here. The other 7 clubs with higher rating points will compete in the tournament from the 3rd stage. The first matches of the second round will be held on September 27-28, and the return matches will be held on October 4-5.
