On June 3, Minister of Youth and Sports Farid Gayibov met with athletes who successfully represented our country in international competitions during May.
Idman.Biz reports that the meeting, organized at the Baku Youth Center, began with the playing of the State Anthem. During the meeting, a video clip showcasing the achievements gained in international arenas over the past month was shown.
Minister Farid Gayibov stated in his speech that during May, the State Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was played in 15 countries, and our athletes won a total of 70 gold, 58 silver, and 103 bronze medals. Highly appreciating the achievements of our athletes in international arenas, Minister Farid Gayibov congratulated the athletes and their coaches.
Subsequently, representatives of various sports provided information about the competitions they participated in and their results. At the end, Minister Farid Gayibov wished the athletes even greater success in upcoming competitions.
