Azerbaijani fencers competed at the World Championship in China
Azerbaijani fencers participated in the World Youth and Junior Championships held in Wuxi, China.
According to "Report", Zarifa Huseynova took 14th place in the sabre competition.
She lost in the match for a ticket to the 1/4 finals.
Farah Abasova, Leyla Ahmadova and Valentina Zeynalova passed the group stage and advanced to the playoffs, but lost in the matches for a ticket to the 1/32 finals.
In the individual competition of young male sabre fencers, Aykhan Khasiyev, Rasul Aliyev and Abbas Huseynov qualified for the playoffs, but lost in the matches for reaching the 1/32 finals.
Timur Husnaddinov stopped the fight in the group.
It should be noted that the World Championship will last until April 15.
