Azerbaijan's senior national taekwondo team performed successfully at the international "Swiss Open" tournament held in St. Gallen, Switzerland.
Idman.Biz reports that our team members Cavad Agayev and Minaya Akbarova defeated all their opponents and rose to the highest step of the podium.
Competing in the 74 kg weight class, Cavad Agayev finished the tournament with a gold medal. In the women's division at 46 kg, Minaya Akbarova also became champion by winning all her matches.
Based on the sum of individual results, the Azerbaijani team secured first place overall and took home the Swiss Open trophy.
