The World Judo Championship continues in Budapest, the capital of Hungary.

Hidayat Heydarov faced Otari Kvantidze, who represents Portugal and is originally from Georgia. Our judoka lost to the Portuguese representative.
Rashid Mammadaliyev, competing in the same weight category, defeated Kazbek Nagushev (UAE) and advanced to the next stage. Our judoka will face Georgian Lasha Shavdatuashvili in the second match.
Women

Fidan Alizadeh faced Serbian Marika Perisic. She lost the fight and said goodbye to the competition.
It should be noted that Azerbaijan is represented at the World Championship with 13 judokas in 10 weight categories. In the first two days of the competition, Ahmad Yusifov (60 kg) and Ruslan Pashayev (66 kg) among men, and Leyla Aliyeva, Konul Aliyeva (both 48 kg) and Gultaj Mammadaliyeva (52 kg) among women lost early and finished the competition without medals.
