Zira football club has raised Azerbaijan's UEFA ranking.
Idman.Biz reports that this was made possible by the team's victory over Georgian representative "Torpedo" (3:0) in the first qualifying round of the UEFA Conference League.
This victory earned the country 0.250 points. Earlier, "Sabah" also made the same contribution by defeating TNS (Wales) 2-0 in the first qualifying round of the UEFA Champions League in Baku.
Azerbaijan is currently ranked 26th in the UEFA rankings with 19.062 points. Slovakia is in 27th place with 18.250 points, and Israel is in 25th place with 20.750 points.
Note that England leads the UEFA rankings with 101.852 points.
