"Neftchi" defender Yuri Matias gave a statement to the club's press service. Sport24.az reports that the football player stated that his statement to the Romanian press was distorted.
"I was surprised when I saw my interview with the Romanian press. In fact, it's not the first time I've faced my words not being written correctly. I've kind of gotten used to it (laughs).".
I didn't say in my interview that "we haven't negotiated or won't be able to negotiate with Neftchi." I just stated that there are 6 months left until the end of my contract and there is nothing official regarding a new contract. Of course, my team is Neftchi. I am a Neftchi player, I love our fans. Until the end of my contract, no matter how many years, I am ready to wear this uniform with honor until the end."
It should be noted that Yuri Matias' contract with Neftchi will expire this summer.
