On January 15, the Baku Championship among young judokas under 21 will be held jointly by the Azerbaijan Judo Federation and the Baku City Youth and Sports Department. According to Sport24.az, the winners in 14 weight categories among girls and boys will be determined at the competition.
About 200 judokas from more than 30 different clubs, societies and sports organizations of Baku will compete for medals in the championship. The main goal of the competition is to promote a healthy lifestyle among young people through sports, as well as to achieve mass promotion and encouragement of judo. The competition is a selection for the national championship in the relevant age group.
It should be noted that the competition will be held at the Sports and Health Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) located in Hovsan settlement.
