Verder Bremen's official website has announced the transfer of Austrian national team goalkeeper Alexander Schlager from Red Bull Zalsburg.
Sport.Biz reports that Austria stopped competing in the 2026 World Cup, losing 0:3 to Spain in the 1/16 finals.

Last season, Alexander Schlager kept his goal untouched seven times in 47 matches. According to Transfermarkt, his current market value is 2 million euros.
Verder finished 15th in the Bundesliga table last season.
