The new head coach of "Sabah" has been determined. Sport24.az reports that the club's press service has released information about this.
The team has been entrusted to Lithuanian specialist Valdas Dambrauskas. A 3-year contract has been signed with him.
During his career as head coach, Dambrauskas worked at Lithuanian clubs "Ekranas" (2013-2014), "Žalgiris" (2014-2017), Latvian club RFS (2017-2020), Croatian clubs "Gorica" (2020-2021), "Hajduk" (2021-2022), Bulgarian club "Ludogorets" (2021), Greek club "OFI Crete" (2022-2023) and Hungarian club "Diósgyőr" (2025).
As a head coach, Valdas Dambrauskas has won the Bulgarian championship once (2020/21), the Lithuanian championship twice (2014/15, 2015/16), the Latvian Cup once (2018/19), the Lithuanian Cup three times (2014/15, 2015/16, 2016/17), the Croatian Cup once (2021/22), the Lithuanian Super Cup twice (2015/16, 2016/17), and the Bulgarian Super Cup once (2021/22).
It should be noted that Valdas Dambrauskas replaced Vasili Berezutski in this position.
