Tottenham Hotspur have announced the signing of centre-back Jan Paul van Hecke from Brighton.
The 26-year-old has signed a long-term deal.
According to journalist Ben Jacobs, the London club paid £52 million (€59.8 million) for the Dutch player's transfer. Brighton will also receive 20% of any potential future sale of the defender.
Van Hecke has been playing for Brighton since September 2020. During this time, he has made 131 appearances in all competitions, scoring four goals and providing six assists. According to Transfermarkt, his market value is €45 million.
