The most expensive transfers of the summer transfer window have been announced.
Sport.Biz reports that the list is headed by Elliot Anderson, who moved from Nottingham Forest to Manchester City. The 23-year-old England midfielder was paid 116 million pounds sterling (approximately 268 million manat).
Anderson has broken Manchester City's transfer record with this move. He has also become the most expensive British footballer in history. The player signed a five-year contract with his new club.
The second most expensive transfer of the summer is Mateus Fernandes' move from West Ham to Tottenham. The London club paid 85 million pounds sterling (approximately 196.3 million manat) for the Portuguese midfielder.
Anthony Gordon's transfer from Newcastle to Barcelona took third place. The Catalan club spent 69.3 million pounds sterling (approximately 160.1 million manat) on the English winger.
The top five are completed by Goncalo Ramos and Jeremy Jade. The Portuguese striker moved from PSG to Milan for 63.8 million pounds sterling (approximately 147.4 million manat), while the French defender moved from Rennes to Liverpool for 55 million pounds sterling (approximately 127 million manat).
