Santos Football Club has been unable to pay the salaries of its main team players for June.
Sport.Biz reports, citing "Globo", that the club lacks the necessary funds to make payments on time and is currently working to resolve the situation.
In addition, the club owes players two months' worth of image rights payments. This problem emerged at the beginning of this year. The total debt of "Santos" exceeds 1 billion reals (195 million US dollars). However, the salaries of other employees, youth team players, and the women's team have been paid on time.
