Ruan Renato has played his 100th match for Zira. Sport24.az reports with reference to the press service of the Professional Football League that the 31-year-old defender's anniversary coincided with the 1/8 final stage of the Azerbaijan Cup.
The Brazilian legionnaire played 120 minutes on the field in the match against Neftchi (1:0), which lasted until extra time. Renato has scored 9 goals in 100 matches for Zira.
He has played 80 matches (8 goals) in the Premier League, 10 (1 goal) in the cup, and 10 matches in European Cups. The South American is the 9th football player in Zira's history to play 100 or more matches.
It should be noted that Renato made his debut for the Baku club on August 5, 2023, in the Premier League away match against Qarabag (1:0).
