Roy Keane, former captain of the Ireland national team, responded to a statement by Alfie Haaland, the father of Norwegian national team striker Erling Haaland.
İdman.Biz reports that after Norway's 1/4 final defeat to England with a score of 1:2 in the 2026 World Cup, Alfie Haaland mockingly thanked the referee for England's advancement to the semi-finals.
Roy Keane disagreed with his opinion:
"Will he even remember this game? It seems like he's always drunk during matches. When you're drunk, you look at the game differently. You can argue with some decisions, but you can't say that the referee deprived Norway of victory".
Norway has stopped fighting in the 1/4 finals. England will face Argentina in the semi-finals.
