Portugal captain and forward Cristiano Ronaldo addressed the fans after Portugal's opening match at the 2026 World Cup.

The match against the Democratic Republic of the Congo was historic for the 41-year-old forward: Ronaldo started the game in the starting lineup and became the first European to play in 12 major international tournaments for his national team.
