Spanish football club Real Madrid does not plan to sell Federico Valverde.
Idman.Biz reports that despite the information spread in the press, the Madrid representative is not seriously considering the possibility of transferring the Uruguayan midfielder.
The club's leadership fully trusts Valverde and considers him one of the key players of the future project. It is reported that the 27-year-old player will also be the captain of Real Madrid in the 2026/27 season.
Coach Jose Mourinho also does not intend to deprive Valverde of the captaincy or part ways with him. The specialist plans to give the midfielder an important role in his new project.
Valverde has been in the Real Madrid system since 2016. In the completed club season, he played 48 games in all tournaments, scoring nine goals and making 13 productive passes.
News of Valverde's possible departure appeared after his dispute with teammate Aurelien Tchouameni during training. As a result of the incident, Valverde was injured, and the club launched a disciplinary investigation into both football players.
Valverde later stated that Tchouameni did not hit him, and the injury was caused by slipping and hitting his head on the table during the dispute.
