“Qarabag” Brazilian footballer: “Azerbaijan is better than many European countries”
Azerbaijan is better than many European countries.
"Report" informs that this was said by Julio Romao, the Brazilian football player of "Qarabag", in an interview with "Globo".
The 26-year-old midfielder talked about his performance in "Qarabag" and the team's results in the UEFA Europa League:
"We played two great games against Bayer 04, and I think that after that people started to look at "Qarabag" differently. When I was young, I played with the ball more, I wasn't a defensive midfielder. But in Portugal I adapted to playing further back, and this helped me a lot during my performance in "Qarabag".
He analyzed the Azerbaijani championship, as well as the UEFA Europa League:
"When I came, they said that the games are very difficult. "Qarabag" has been the champion for many years. The coach has been with the team for a long time, the club's philosophy does not change. Few players leave, and this allows the team to maintain its performance. But the Azerbaijani championship is difficult. Because the opponents prepare differently against us. There are very complex games, the opponents already know us. In the Europa League, the teams are either at the same level or a little higher".
The football player shared his impressions of Azerbaijan:
"It was easy to adapt to the Portuguese championship, we spoke the same language. In Azerbaijan, people, culture, climate - everything is completely different. What impressed me the most was the attitude of the people towards me, they welcomed me very well. I hesitated before coming, but when I saw the city, I was amazed. There are many places to see, I brought my family and everyone likes it here. Azerbaijan is better than many European countries. Security is at a high level, there is really nothing I can complain about here".
