The first round of the Misli Premier League was marked by the debut of two foreign head coaches.
İdman.biz reports that Portuguese Jorge Casquilha made his debut in the championship match at the helm of "Imishli", and Serbian Sasa Ilic at the helm of "Sumgayit".
While the Portuguese's team lost 0:1 at home to "Turan Tovuz", the Serbian team celebrated a 3:0 victory over "Kapaz". Thus, the number of foreign specialists who have fielded a team as head coach or substitute in the history of the Premier League (formerly the top division) has reached 67. Casquilha became the first Portuguese, while Ilic is the 5th Serbian. He is also the 3rd foreign coach in "Sumgayit".
It should be noted that Casquilha is the first head coach of "Imishli" in the Premier League.
