The mother of France national team head coach Didier Deschamps has passed away, and he will leave the national team based in the US for the 2026 World Cup.
Sport.Biz reports that journalist Fabrice Hawkins provided information citing the French Football Federation (FFF).
The coach will leave the US to be with his family and attend the funeral. He will not be on the bench for the national team's final group stage match against Norway on June 26. According to an agreement with French Football Federation president Philippe Diallo, Didier Deschamps' assistant Guy Stéphan will manage the team until his return.
