Kylian Mbappe, a football player for the Spanish club "Real", is close to breaking the historical record of Cristiano Ronaldo, a former member of the Madrid team. Sport24.az reports that the 26-year-old striker has scored 55 goals in the current calendar year wearing the "Royal Club" jersey.
The French forward recently scored a double in the La Liga match they won against "Athletic".
Ronaldo's record at Real in a calendar year is 59 goals. The player, who currently plays for Saudi Arabia's "Al-Nassr" club, achieved this in 2013.
The capital team has four more games until the end of the year. The team, coached by Xabi Alonso, will face "Celta", "Alaves", "Sevilla" in La Liga and the English representative "Manchester City" in the UEFA Champions League.
