"Qarabag" goalkeeper Mateusz Kochalski has entered the history of the UEFA Champions League. Sport24.az reports that the 25-year-old goalkeeper is the seventh Polish "guardian of the frame" to save a penalty in the continent's number one club tournament.
Kochalski prevented the opponent from scoring from an 11-meter shot in the match of the V round of the League stage, which they lost to "Napoli" in Italy (0:2).
Other Polish goalkeepers Eji Dudek (2 times), Artur Boruts, Łukasz Fabiański (2), Wojciech Szczęsny (2), Kamil Grabara, and Łukasz Skorupski have saved penalties in Champions League matches.
