Tense moments occurred on the field and in the tunnel after the second leg of the Azerbaijan Cup semi-final match "Sabah" - "Qarabag". Montenegrin midfielder of Azerbaijani "Qarabag" football team, Marko Jankovic, strongly protested the refereeing after the final whistle of the game and received a red card for this.
Idman.Biz reports that what infuriated Jankovic was the referee Ravan Hamzazade's failure to award a penalty in the 90+6th minute of the match.
According to footage released by CBC Sport, the footballer's protest continued in the tunnel leading to the locker room, and Jankovic attempted to attack the refereeing team again. The Montenegrin player was removed from the scene by head coach Gurban Gurbanov.
