Germany goalkeeper Manuel Neuer has confirmed that he will retire from international football after the 2026 World Cup.
Sport.Biz reports that in the second round, the German national team will face off against Côte d'Ivoire (June 20), and in the third round, they will face Ecuador (June 25).
"This will be my last tournament for Germany. I don't plan to play in the Euros in two years. But I want to look forward to every game and not think about farewell or a potential last match," Neuer said at a press conference for the German national team.
The 2026 World Cup will take place from June 11 to July 19 in three countries - the United States, Mexico, and Canada. Argentina is the current world champion.
